Just had a problem: When trying to open attached pdf files in my Zotero reference manager in Firefox, a pop-up showed up telling me that Zotero wasn't able to open the file bla bla bla... The solution for this problem was to open "Preferences" - Main - Manage addons - and disable "Adobe acrobat" listed in one of the tabs. Restart Firefox and everything works again!
